binutil が腐ってる。gcc が "as" が無いと言うようになってしまう。 Gentoo Forum では /usr/i686-pc-linux-gnu/binutils-bin/2.17 を PATH に入れたりしているようだが以下の対処法が一番良いと思われ。

>binutils-config i686-pc-linux-gnu-2.17

binutil が 2.17 に up したのに binutil-config は 2.16 と思い込んでいたという理解で良い？

もう一つ。
libsdl は autoconf-2.59-r7 を required している。わけわからん！
